The African Society of Nuclear Law (SADN) is a non-political association, scientific, founded in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in Burkina Faso. Our main objective is to promote and popularize the nuclear law, with a strong commitment to the peaceful use of nuclear technologies.

Your presence on this site demonstrates your interest and your commitment to the science and the technology in general, and particularly in the field of nuclear energy. How to take advantage of the benefits of science and technology while minimizing the risks and disadvantages to humans, property and the environment. The legal framework allows to achieve the balance. This is why, in a context of widespread use of nuclear technologies in Africa and in the world, the players must build infrastructure for legal support for the visions of development, while ensuring the safety and security.

The African Society of Nuclear Law (SADN) is a scientific association and non-profit, which is the main objective to contribute to the promotion and extension of the right to nuclear power on the african continent. Our ambitions for Africa are great because it takes, together, to create the conditions for safe and secure use of nuclear energy and its applications. The promotion of the teaching of the nuclear law on the african continent ; the research in nuclear law ; education and awareness on the peaceful use of nuclear technology ; the collaboration between institutions, research Centres and Institutes on nuclear power are the primary tasks and necessary to the scale of the african continent.

That is why we invite you to join the SADN to address together the challenges that arise on our Continent in the nuclear sector. By joining our association, you participate in the construction of a centre of excellence in the field of nuclear law. You will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops, conferences, training seminars, and a variety of activities that will enrich your expertise.

We encourage you to get involved, share your ideas and contribute to the dynamics of the African Society of Nuclear Law.

Mission

Promote and raise awareness of the nuclear law

For a better understanding of nuclear law, we regularly publish scientific works on the nuclear technologies.
We have a virtual library containing legal documents and reports of activities.

One of our goals is to promoting the peaceful use of nuclear technologies. Indeed, the nuclear technologies can provide solutions to the challenges faced by african States in several sectors such as health, infrastructure, energy, etc., SADN offers its expertise to educate and train the actors of the peaceful use of nuclear technologies in order to minimize the risk of misuse of such technologies to humans, property and the environment.

In order to implement the projects of common interest, the SADN collaborates with national and international partners working in the promotion of nuclear law.
